If you're ready to break your personal record, My Fastest Mile is the race for you. This blazing-fast, all-downhill course runs straight down West Main Street in Sidney, NY—designed for speed and perfect for chasing your best mile ever.
The one-mile course will be accurately measured using a calibrated distance wheel.
With professional timing and race categories for all levels—from elite athletes to kids just starting out—everyone has a shot at a personal best. Serious runners can compete for top-tier prize money in the Elite Division, while families and casual runners enjoy a fun, festive atmosphere. All runners will receive a T-shirt on a first-come first-serve basis.
Elite Division Prize Money (Men & Women)
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $250
- 3rd Place: $100
Race Day Schedule
- 9:00–10:30 AM: Registration & packet pick-up
- Parking: Finish area at Steiner Road, Sidney Plaza
- Shuttle: Transport to the start line at the top of the hill
- 11:00 AM: Kids Fun Run
- 11:30 AM: Open Division
- 12:00 PM: Elite Division
Note: Runners will be assigned to small waves departing every 5 minutes. Wave assignments are given at packet pick-up. All competitors are asked to park at the bottom of the hill, and a Sidney school bus will transport you to the starting/staging area.
Age Group Awards
- Elite Division: Prize money for top 3 men and women
- Open Division: Awards for top 3 in each age group:
- Under 30
- 30 to 49
- 50 and above
- Fun Run: All participants receive a prize
